Selected rock maple back, sides and neck; fine-grained spruce top; finished in hand polished dark brown lacquer with sunburst shadings, the Synchromatic revitalizes musical history.

The edges of the body, fingerboard, headpiece and guard plate are full bound in extra wide black and ivory celluloid.

Its fittings include the easy playing, steel reinforced neck, oval rosewood fingerboard with extra-broad nickel silver frets, “Chromatic” tailpiece and “Synchronized” bridge.

Modeled after American designs from the early 20th century, The Loar’s new archtop guitar is completely hand-carved from select, graduated woods and features a nitrocellulose lacquer finish and unparalleled acoustic projection.

The Loar Hand-Carved Archtop is an authentic replica of the original archtop acoustic guitars from the 1920’s. This all-solid model features a top that is hand-carved from graduated spruce, and hand-carved back and sides made from highly flamed maple.

The LH-600 also features hand-buffed nitrocellulose lacquer for superior acoustic projection, a one-piece mahogany neck with vintage “V” profile, Grover tuners and a compensated adjustable ebony bridge.

With its exceptionally loud tone, carved body and vintage design, this new archtop took the NAMM show by storm this past January. Jazz players and archtop enthusiasts will love this professional model.

MACCAFERRI  G-40  ARCHTOP PROFESSIONAL PLASTIC GUITAR.  1953

Here is another MACCAFERRI guitar from Karo’s collection THAT IS NOT A TOY-BUT RATHER IS A PROFESSIONAL GUITAR.

It is a G40 from 1953 and came to Karo directly from its previous, and possibly only, owner.

As most of you read in my other ad for the Maccaferri New Romancer, Karo has schooled me well in the history of Mario Maccaferri.  This is another one that I found in the back of the shop.  The nut, which is the last fret on the fingerboard, has been rebuilt by Karo and seems to work fine.  Its overall condition is great and it comes with a house-but I am not sure it is original.

It is in excellent condition and is guaranteed to be free of any problems when you receive it except it will need to be set up and tuned.  Don’t expect a concert quality instrument.  It is old and has been played well.

And to satisfy Karo and pay appropriate recognition to this guitar, I have spent a lot of time doing some nice photos of it.  It does look good.

Shipping charges are $35.00 to any US lower 48 location.  Shipment outside the US lower 48 states will be at actual cost.  If you are outside this area and want to bid, please contact me first for a shipping quote.

 This is a great playing and sounding jazz box with many upgrades.  Custom wooden tailpieceCustom rosewood pickguard.  I will also include the original natural pickguard. The pickup has been upgraded with a Kent Armstrong floating pickup.  I will also include the original Ibanez pickup as well as the Kent Armstrong box.     Have you ever wanted a custom guitar and it was way out of range price wise? I’m making it well within range for a one of a kind custom guitar.  You’re bidding on a 2010 custom guitar hand build by Rusch Guitars. I craft 24 instruments per year including any style solid body electric, archtops & acoustic guitars. I have several in the works right now including some Jerry Garcia tributes, a cherry red 335 style, single cut archtop. Every guitar design is thouroughly planned and discussed with the customers and if needed, a 1:1 scale sketch/ rendering is produced to confirm the final design. Included here are just 12 photos, many more on the site. The process from begining to end takes about 6 weeks, including design time, sourcing woods, hardware & electronics, the build process, curing time for lacquer and final buffing, set-up and testing. The bid price covers the custom guitar, lifetime warranty, hardshell case & shipping. If the design is a simpler  – one such as the single cut or Les Paul junior style, there would be a refund check issued, if something elaborate like a 17″ archtop with electronics, it may be a bit more.
